Looks can be deceiving...

This is probably the best looking Free Runs to date, but as far as being a durable and comfortable shoe this shoe is a no go. The front of my shoe has already started ripping its way from the sole. I do not recommend these at all.

Just Do It

I hated these shoes when I first got them. Fives miles in to my run, I felt like Nike had invented new ways for my body to feel pain. During my next run I didn't feel any unusual pain and they've been great since. The Nike Free 5.0s were such a huge fashion statement that has influenced a lot of brands. Everyone keeps talking about comfort, and the 5.0s were comfortable, but that combined with how they performed is the most important aspect of their success. In contrast, I think Free RN 2017 has more flexibility and more structure. They still give you a very natural running experience and look great off the trail. Certain things about the materials and the name changes are a little off but they'll carry you where you want to go. The only bad thing about this shoe is that it won't live up to Free 5.0 standards because its just a different shoe, but the performance is still there.
