Nice, but the smell

I like the fit, they are comfortable once you get them on. The fit is flattering, and the length is perfect for my 5 ft 5" height. The waist band does not have much stretch, and I have to work them up over my hips and I do not have big hips. They also have a really strong chemical smell. I have washed them twice, the 2nd time with baking soda and they still smell. I am waiting for sun so I can hang them outside for a while.
