Helps my neuropathy
I have severe pain from peripheral neuropathy. My neurologist suggested ALA. I tried a non-time released product that badly burned my stomach so I searched for a time released product. After 6 months of use, I knew this was helping but REALLY found out how much when I ran out and had a little trouble getting a fast enough shipment. Oh, how I suffered for that week! I am going to try doubling the dose to see if I get even more relief.

No change
I had hoped it would help my neuropathy but it hasn’t A friend recommended. Maybe be I need higher dose or maybe it just isn’t working for me

Time Release is a mistake for this product
I had a friend recommend ALA for neuropathy. I surveyed the many options in the store and chose this because time-release seemed to make sense. My online research showed that ALA only stays active for 2-4 hours. Anyway, it worked like magic -- I took one each morning and my neuropathic pain disappeared, my nerves even seemed to work better ! After a week, I bought another bottle for my elderly father, and my wife started taking them -- both also have neuropathy tingles. It worked for both of them. Then, after another week, we compared notes and discovered that we were all suffering from episodes of extreme sleepiness in the afternoons and evenings. Almost like narcolepsy. I actually went for afternoon naps -- something I have never done before. The only thing we all had in common was this time-release ALA. I googled it and found that sleep disturbances do occur with ALA -- but saw nothing on the scale of what we were suffering. Anyway, we all quit. It took two days to get it out of our system. I loved what it did for my neuropathy, so I tested half a pill before bed -- it messed me up the next afternoon. My Dad accidentally took one after a week -- it messed him up the next day. It seems that the time release mechanism might be much too slow. It takes a few days to build up to where it messes with your sleep, then it takes two days to get it out of your gut. In conclusion, I love what it did for my nerves, but the sleepiness was not worth it. I took a lot of research to figure out what the problem was. I am going to continue testing other dosages and other formulas (R-ALA) at different times of day. .. and probably another brand as well.

Anti oxidant protection 24/7
I am in my mid 70's and I feel this is one of the supplements that is helping me to stay healthy. I have been taking it for years and it helps me with energy and keeps me out of harms way because it's got anti oxidants. I take the time release so I can be protected 24/7.
