Misleading and incomplete

This paint-by-numbers kit is promising, but misleading. It only comes with 10 colors, but requires 15 colors to complete. The kit comes with a guide for mixing the colors, which is necessary, because the colors are labeled with letters, but the canvases are labeled with numbers. Personally, I do paint-by-numbers kits because they are easy, mostly thoughtless, and relaxing. Unfortunately, this one requires a lot more thought and isn't as fun. Finally, the brush is very poor quality and sheds hairs as you paint.

Really poor quality

They give you 10 pots of paint, but you have to use them to mix your own colors. There are only about 15 colors anyway. Would it have been so hard to just give us the 15 colors? The included brush is far too large to paint the small spaces and far too small to paint the large ones. There are many spaces that don't have numbers, but are clearly not meant to be left as white. The instruction book is nice, but they could have left out the instruction book and use the cost of the book to give us all the paints and brushes that we needed to do the job.

Confusing.

The paint pots are numbered 1 - 10, but the palette key is A - I, and you’re supposed to mix those to come up with the colors for the paintings. None of it makes sense. They are pretty designs so this is unfortunate.

Not what you think!

I bought this for my girlfriend thinking it would be a cute date night activity. BUT this is a little more than paint by number. You have to mix your own paint, you have to use so much water to spread the paint around. Definitely not a paint by number in the traditional sense. she is still painting it which is great but I wish I had known the IMPORTANT details. Read every inch of the how-to book. Definitely disappointed.
