If it was working. It was a present for my granddaughter and it stopped working while she was using it. She was so disappointed.

I appreciate your asking but the two pottery wheels are for Christmas! I know I am a little early but liked what I saw. May I let you know then how they are? Thank you

Creative fun with educational value

The National Geographic Pottery Wheel Toy Kit has been a fantastic addition to our craft supplies! It comes with everything needed to dive into pottery: ample clay, various sculpting tools, paint, and a user-friendly pottery wheel. The wheel is well-constructed and operates smoothly, making it easy for my child to shape and create their pieces. The instructions are straightforward, making it perfect for kids and beginners. My child loved painting their creations, and it was great to see their creativity flourish. What sets this kit apart is the educational component. It includes fascinating information about the history of pottery, adding an extra layer of learning to the fun. Overall, the National Geographic Pottery Wheel Toy Kit is a wonderful, engaging, and educational activity for kids. It’s a great way to foster creativity and learn something new. Highly recommend!

National Geographic pottery wheel kit

I think The pottery wheel is a fantastic way to introduce pottery to kids. I definitely think they need to be at least eight years old as recommended on the box. It also has to be done with an adult unless the child is older. My granddaughter is a perfectionist so I think this is a great way to see that everything doesn’t always have to be perfect and that’s OK, I would definitely recommend this product. Working with the clay that comes with the kit seems to be a little tough so I think I’m just gonna order more and see what happens with that. Definitely think you should wear an apron as well as a disposable tablecloth for your table.

Cool project for kids

This pottery set is pretty cool. My 2 boys ages 11 and 13 liked it. It did take a while to get a hang of though and takes practice. It comes with 3 big blocks of clay which harden easily and all the tools you need. The directions are easy to follow and It’s not that messy but def a project for older kids like tweens and teens.

Explorer's pardise

This RTP wheel is a colorful and delightful toy that has educational purposes. My 9 y.o. was simply stunned at how much fun she was having while learning about other places. What truly got me was how colorful it was and how interactive it is.

Good quality fun craft kit

My 9yr old twin girls made their clay crafts with National Geographic Pottery Wheel craft kit today. It was very easy to follow the instructions, the kit had lots of different attachments and can be used both left and right handed. The set came with shaping attachments, scalping tools, paints , gemstones and an apron ( which is really necessary)because it is a messy craft but washes right off, easy to clean. My kids loved it,

Fun but came with some disappointment

It took a few tries before getting used to. Our 9 year old became extremely discouraged and cried and left his project half done. The clay kept coming undone from the wheel as it was spinning even though we pressed it down as instructed. Our 7 year old had more patience and success although we just used our hands and not the arm to assist us. The 12 year old was frustrated to begin with because the clay kept cracking but I told him not to give up and again it was easier just to use the wheel to spin and the handheld tools rather than the arm.
