disc only, nothing else works

just bought this yesterday to replace ours, the usb drive is one of the KEY factors for us. except, this player wont play a single movie off my usb drive....why even bother having the drive if it cant read any of the file types for movies??

Way too sensitive and glitchy

I got one for Xmas and it seemed fine at first. Within the next few days, it froze many times just trying to simply power off. I waited, no exaggeration, 10 minutes and had to resort to unplugging it just to be able to turn it "back on", even though I never did get it to properly power off. Then also let's talk about the disk drive itself, it randomly pings discs off and wedges them between the closed tray, harming DVDs. I don't suggest this malfunctioning hardware to anyone.

Does not playback Blu-ray

We bought this model because I saw in the features “Yes” for BluRay/DVD playback. When we put a Blu-ray disc in, it does not read it.

Trouble reading videos through USB port

Hello, My player has never read all the video files I try to read by the USB port. Sometimes it is a .avi, sometimes a .mp4. There is no rule. The message appears saying Not supported file. Where is the problem ? Thank you.

If you want to see videos from a usb you have to convert them into either MPEG 1 or MPEG 2 PS/TS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This would be a good DVD player, however, there is no written instructions. There is a manual but it has nothing but about 30 pictures in it. there is no written instructions on how to operate the machine at all. I bought it for recording CDs to USB drive, but it doesn't give you any instructions how to do that.
