Syncing problems

I love the misfit ray and the fact that I do not have to charge it; however the ap is user unfriendly. I have been trying to sync my misfit with myfitnesspal since I purchased it and every time I to connect it with myfitnesspal it takes me to the ap to purchase a misfit and not to sync with the system. This is very frustrating and when I try to enlist help from the "contact us" with misfit, I get errors indicating message cannot be sent.
