I purchased these bowls to replace a few chipped/broken bowls. While they claim to be French Countryside, they are not the same size or thickness. These are not replacements for the previous French Countryside offering.

The picture is right, and even the picture on the box was right, but when I opened the box there were 2 cereal bowls and not 4 fruit bowls. So I had to return them. I don't even want to order them again because the pictures AND the box were right, it's just what was actually inside that was wrong!

I have owned French Countryside for over 30 years. I’m so grateful Mikasa has kept the pattern alive. The dishes have held up beautifully over the years. It’s great I can add new additions to the set. I highly recommend Mikasa.

I actually like the style
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually like the style of these bowls and was excited to receive them along with several other pieces from the French Countryside collection I had ordered to replace or add to my set I've had for over 40 years. I have most of the original pieces and they have been used regularly all that time, so I can attest to the durability of the product. I have ordered additional pieces in the past and found them to be a perfect match. However, I was extremely disappointed in this recent purchase as the color has changed significantly enough that I cannot pair them with my other pieces. The older ones are more white, but the new ones are much more ivory or yellow. If you are looking to match your old set, be aware that these will not be a close color match.

Excellent product
These bowls serve multiple purposes from cereal to soup to pasta, etc. They are a perfect size.

Nice quality but the plates looked like bowls with a large lip on the sides. They were not flat.
