I got it for my grandson because he loves being outdoors and learning and this deluxe gardening set actually teaches how to plant seeds and grow things. It's soft and plush. It has a basket which makes it much easier to keep all the pieces in one spot and carry them around. We not only played with it together inside, we took it outside and he pretended to bury the seeds and grow the food for his tree house. I definitely recommend this play set for those who enjoy teaching those children about real life things and how to grow food.

Gardening set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Melissa & Doug let's explore gardening set is great quality. The set is bright and vibrant. It was packaged nicely and product was not damaged. My daughter played with the set for a couple days but unfortunately has lost interest. As of right now I would not recommend this set to a friend. I received this set free for an exchange of my honest review.

Adorable Gardening Toy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4 year old AND my 8 year olds adored this toy! This toy has faux soil, seeds, veggies, cards with directions on how to "plant" and all the tools you need to pretend garden. The garden cart this comes in is nice to store the toys and move the pretend gardening supplies around the house/play area. This kept my kids busy and they loved it! The parts this comes with are bigger for little hands to handle and no choking hazards for small kiddos! Such a cute idea!

Wonderful gardening set for kids!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Let's Explore Deluxe Gardening Set is the perfect gift for both my 18-month-old son and 3.5-year-old daughter. They love assembling the plants and pretending to harvest the veggies! When I showed my daughter how to take the seed pods out of the packets and "plant" them in the soil pod pockets, she was so excited! She picked up the watering can, watered the seeds, and then I showed her how to assemble the veggies in the soil (vine with tomatoes, carrot stalk, and broccoli). There's velcro on each part so it's easy for a kid to replicate. There's an illustrated guide for each veggie with instructions that are easy for kids to follow. There are labels you can insert in front of each soil pocket (in the blue canister on the basket). The rolling basket is incredibly amazing because it holds everything! It's ultra-durable and can even be used to carry or store other toys. The handle on the basket expands out, so your kid can pull it as they walk around (perfect for travel). All of the parts of this toy set are easy to wipe down or hand-wash if they get dirty. I highly recommend this toy for anyone's kids!

Exploration Kit!

Cute Gardening Set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids adore their Melissa and Doug Garddning Set! It's perfect because they can garden indoors and with no mess! We currently are caring for our garden in our backyard and my kids are enthralled with the whole process of caring for and growing our garden. I love that the whole set is in a basket complete with wheels so they can tote their gardening tools around easily. This is perfect for learning how miraculous gardening can be and nourishing their little minds.

So much fun for kids and parents
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves playing gardening while playing outside. This is such a fun & creative little set that helps little ones understand how vegetables are made and how to grow them. It comes with a step by step guide for each vegetable, which is also a great learning experience. He's learning while having fun and doesn't even know it, he's just thinking "my mom is playing with me and we're having fun" every Melissa and Doug product I own the quality is just outstanding. I love that they incorporate real life into play.
