Nice cake stand but shipping Nightmare

Shipping for this product is completely inadequate! It ships in manufacturer box, no even a fragile on the outside, no additional shipping box with any bubble wrap, so my first order arrived broken to bits!( not surprised) I ended up having to call three times to sort out the issue with this cake stand. First for a refund, and I was told a new cake stand would be ordered, it did not arrive, I called and was told I would have to re order on my own and it was no longer on sale, so I would have to call back for a third time when it arrived for a price adjustment. There has to be a more simple way to address a problem! It shipped the second time the exact same way. No shipping box, just the box from manufacture, which contains some styrofoam and tape. Lucky this time it was not broken but did have some minor defects from maker. I needed it for an event so I kept it because of time restraints. Product is white and sturdy.
