Love it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great jacket with all the right features. I particularly appreciate the wide and strong wrist Velcro, the oversized hood and neck protection- with the hood up and the zipper up there’s maximum protection around the head and face. Casual users may find this jacket a bit awkward, but for folks who spend a lot of time on the slopes in bad weather, this jacket is just perfect.

Gotta get it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such an awesome jacket. The windproofing is immaculate. The fit is great, a standard fit at that. Love the chest pockets and the side hand pockets have a warm fleecy material. Has 1 inside pocket which is big enough for today's phone and then some. The drop in mesh pocket is useful too if you snow. All you need is this jacket and a hoodie under and you're good to go for NYC winters. Shoveled snow in this jacket and it was extra sturdy. Lowest temp I tested it out in was about 10 degrees and I was absolutely warm with only a hoodie on underneath. Highly recommend honestly. Having a windproof jacket makes winters so easy to deal with.

Unexpectedly Excellent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited about the Lightray because it seemed relatively thin which leaves the option for layering up either over or under as needed. That said, I've worn it for a few weeks now, mostly snowboarding on the mountain, and it has kept me insulated, warm, and dry the whole time, with only the occasional vest under or over on the particularly frigid days (below 0°F).

Four and a half
Couple things: Me, 5'11 190ish size L. Fit is great, loose over outer layers, yet not bulky at all. Build seems high quality. But.. (foolishly not mentioned elsewhere), The front placket is very tall with a slight "rise" cut in over the top. Normally the more protection here the better, but unless worn completely zipped this creates two flappy wings next to your face. The hood is also beyond huge, which again is a good thing, except it plays into the enormous amount of material around your face. The only other issue I can see is that a 30' length is fine, barely. Needs 31-32. Recommended with reservations.

Great ski jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really happy with this jacket. I finally replaced my old ski shell, which was no longer waterproof. The insulation layer on the Lightray is just warm enough that I can forgo a sweater layer (just thermals), and the pit zippers allow me to dump heat on a warm day. And I love all of the pockets. I used to ski or snow hike with a back or fanny back, but I can fit everything I need in the six pockets in this jacket. As long as it holds up for as long as my old one (15 years or so), it will be a huge win.

Love it so far . . .
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the jacket 2-3 times and I love it. It is surprisingly light weight but kept me warm in temperatures between 10-20F.
