Thank you for your review. With helpful feedback like yours, we were able to pinpoint the flaw in the pirate ship's original design. Our development team removed the portholes on the ship's sides to improve flotation. As of March 15, 2023, the "sinking ships" are no longer being sold. The redesigned ships are in production and should be available for purchase summer of 2023. An Expensive Miss

I bought this last year and the boat never floated upright. I followed the instructions and rinsed the animals and boat thoroughly and even took care to let everything dry well and now there’s some mildew on the animals. I’m only writing this review now because I was looking to just replace the animals since the boat never floated and I see they can not be purchased separately. This is an expensive miss for especially a bath toy.
