I bought this set (10, 4-piece settings) back in January 2017, so two years ago now. The dishes are very delicate. When the initial shipment arrived, a ton of the dishes and bowls were broken. Macy's customer service was excellent and they immediately replaced them, but the problems did not stop there. I read all of the reviews prior to purchasing, and there were many that warned against this set because of their fragility. There were also some reviews that said they were great, and, because I liked them so much, I ordered them in spite of all of the negative reviews. I was really holding on to the hope that I would get a "good batch" like the others who had written positive reviews! Unfortunately, the negative reviews were very accurate. The dishes chip, break, and crack very easily. They are microwave safe, but they get incredibly hot in the microwave. If I microwave a bowl of soup or chili for a minute or so, the dish is so hot that I can't touch any part of it with my bare hands. And the little raised bits on the face of plates, that really add to the aesthetic, they do not wear well either. Most of them have broken/rubbed off at this point and you can see the more ivory/tan color of the ceramic underneath. After two years, they definitely need to be retired. I've already replaced most of the bowls (because they cracked) and the plates really need to go now too (they have chips all over). I was hoping that buying a classic set of white dishware would mean that I could keep them for a very long time without them going out of style and having to buy a new set in a few years. But, unfortunately, that is not the case. I wanted to believe that the negative reviews were wrong because I REALLY wanted these dishes, but they were not. Please learn from my mistake - as much as you may love these, you probably should not buy them. Unless you don't mind the headache of the order showing up broken and/or having to replace your dishes annually. If that is the case, go for it. I know this review will be a total a bummer if you love these dishes, but please trust me - you will be much happier if you take my advice! I wish I had listened back in 2017! : )
Grow MOLD!!
I bought several place settings and all additional pieces for this line - first experiencing many broken/shattered pieces and having to hassle with returns, then to find out they were growing mold! I tried everything to stop this, as I do think they are beautiful and it had been such a hassle to get all the pieces, however nothing worked and they continued to grow mold. The mold develops at the bottom and can also be found at some of the raised accents. My home is air conditioned, so it is not that. I tried to return to Macy's - even brought in to show the mold, however it had been just after six months and the store and then customer service refused to make a return. The best they would offer is 25% off. If you have already bought these, I recommend you do not use the dishwasher. check to see if they are leaving a ring on your placemats, table , counter or in cabinets - that will indicate the moisture seeping and then mold from there. I would hate for others to waste their money like I have and worse yet to ingest this mold. Very unhappy with Macy's customer service and I will be buying my new dishes elsewhere.
Poor quality beauty:(
I ordered this product twice because the details caught my attention. The first order arrived broken and chipped so I returned it. The second I was convinced that the quality is poor. The design and artwork is beautiful but the quality of the product is cheaply made! The material chips, cracks and falls apart easily and it would not last a day in my kitchen. This set is definitely NOT durable! I was very sad to have to return it.

We moved into our new built farmhouse (in the city) and bought 4 sets of these dishes. They are perfect! Love them!!

Such a beautifully disappointing dish. I received these for my wedding shower. They were chipped within a week. It's now 2 months later and I have a service of 16 all chipped. Cups, bowls , salad , dinner,app plates. Lots of wasted money. Macy's should refund people who have bought these.
