Baccarat Rouge 540 is a universal, luminous and intense fragrance with woody ambery floral notes, a one-of-a-kind condensed olfactory signature with a long-lasting sillage. Inspired by the 250th anniversary of Baccarat, Francis Kurkdjian wanted to convey the poetic alchemy of crystal-making in this woody ambery floral fragrance, imagining a unique creation based on 3 'auras'. In the top notes, the breezy facets of jasmine flowers and the radiance of saffron evoke the aura of air. They are highlighted by an accord evoking ambergris and dry woody tones, embodying the mineral aura. Lastly, the aura of fire is suggested by the addictive sensuality of ethyl maltol, a note with gourmand facets. After waiting months for this item to go on sale I finally got it. Still super expensive but I hoped it would be worth it. The smell is super light and good not last a few minutes! I should've believed the recent reviews stating this was watered down...

Bacarrat Changed Their Formula

I purchased this perfume here instead of Baccarat like I normally do in hopes it would smell like it originally did. The last 3 bottles I’ve purchased have all fallen wayyyyy short of what the perfume once was. I’m extremely disappointed in Bacarrat. This review has nothing to do with Bloomingdale’s whatsoever!!
