Great pot except for shedding of white texture

I also bought the Large pot and this pot to go on my sofa table. I almost returned both pots. The white texturing material sheds off the pot, just while sitting on the table. I really like this pot. So I decided to take a brush to it. I also wet the brush then brushed the pot. I did this about 4 different times. The shedding has stopped. For me my time working on the pot worked out. The brushing did not alter the look of the pot. The pot is made out of terra cotta with a white type of fine, grainy texturing on it. I really looked long and hard to find this reddish white color. There fore it was worth trying to remove the excess texturing. Due to the cost of this pot I would have expected not to have a shedding of the texture. . But If you don’t mind brushing the pot. Then buy it. But make sure you wear a mask while brushing off the texturing . The texturing is very grainy and fine. I really cannot recommend this pot due to it’d shedding problem.
