Web ID: 17029287Consistent problem with burn in
After having this monitor for 3 and a half years, I've had to replace the mother board twice because of burn in issues where I'd continue to see faint images of my previous windows even after I unplug the HDMI or thunderbolt cable! Definitely would not recommend this monitor. Big flaw for the price.

Auto Scan Source missing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A huge deficiency that such a monitor is unable to Automatically recognize if you have a signal source on another input. In the menu, you cannot configure a quick switch to Joystick, for example, between DisplayPort and HDMI1. Much cheaper, weaker quality monitors also have this ability. "Auto Scan Source" Other than that, it works well.

Response from lg.com
Thank you for sharing your experience with the 38WN95C-W monitor. We understand your frustration with the lack of an "Auto Scan Source" feature, which would allow the monitor to automatically detect and switch between input sources like DisplayPort and HDMI1. Your feedback regarding this missing functionality, even on a high-end monitor like this one, is noted. While you mentioned that the monitor works well otherwise, the inability to quickly switch between inputs using the joystick or menu is a significant inconvenience, especially when compared to more affordable monitors with this capability. Your feedback is important to us, and we'd like to assist you further. Please send us a private message at @LGUSSupport on social media, and our team will be more than happy to explore potential solutions or workarounds for this issue. We appreciate your patience. -Charles
After 3.5 years of service, there is permenant ima
After 3.5 years of using it, it now has permanent image retention. It was great when it worked. I used it to hook up Display Port to PC and Thunderbolt+Charging to my macbook, pushing resolution and refresh rate to the max. At around 2.5 years ago, thing sometimes were iffy. Sometimes I would need to adjust the cable to make sure that the screen works. Or sometimes, I would have to turn the screen on and off for a few minutes. It was a hassle, but the screen was working most of the time. It seems that today's the day when it finally broke, as the screen seem to have permanent image retention / burn in. It was a great monitor, but I wish it would've lasted a bit longer.

Great experience with my new monitor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased and installed yesterday, the monitor is bright and clear. I upgraded from a Dell Wide Screen because I wanted 2K, I've not looked back. Lots of useful screen real estate, great features, bright, awesome refresh. I use this monitor for both work and play, the space for the work in incredible, and the game play is ever better.
