The two color shade fit very different

I bought 541 shorts in to colors. I’ve had these in the past. The short are very different. One is stretchy at the seam and the other isn’t. Not sure why they aren’t the same since they are the same brand, size, style just not color.

Funky fit

I have lost more than 20 lbs and all of my jeans and shorts have become far too large for me, so I decided to purchase a new pair of denim shorts in a smaller size than I had been wearing (I went from a 36 to a 35 and now am a 34 waist). Because I work out extensively, and have an athletic build and thick thighs (good quad muscles), I went with the Levis 541 Athletic Taper Shorts. They fit fine through the legs, but are very loose in the waist and seat. Other than this, they are fine shorts, but the fit through the waist and seat area leaves a bit to be desired.
