Lenox Holiday Platter

The platter doesn’t look like the older pieces I have from the Lenox Holiday collection.

There have been manufacturing changes over the years and we have also changed the country of manufacture, which is the reason for the difference in your ware. All of our China is now produced to be more sturdy and durable for today's lifestyle. Consumers have indicated that they prefer dinnerware that can be used on a daily basis and can be put in the dishwasher. lenoxcorp

Bad quality

Lenox is not what it use to be sadly. This platter is lacking in the quality of the previous items. I've been working on my collection for years and this piece is so thin, the gold trim is barely there and overall smooth coating that is on all of my previous pieces is almost non existent "feels like you could scratch the holly motif off" there are several other minor flaws that accompany these major ones. With that being said macys did a extraordinary job shipping. It was packed very well. This is the only reason it received two stars.
