Fine computer, disrespectful sales tactics
After purchasing this computer I began to receive endless emails from Lenovo. Sometimes they send me several emails a day. This is not a company I want to continue doing business with.

Reliable Workhorse for the Modern Professional
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was in the market for a new laptop to replace my aging one and naturally turned to Lenovo, having had good experiences with their laptops in the past. After doing some research and speaking with former colleagues, the ThinkPad T14 came highly recommended. Since my new job follows a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy, I needed a dependable, business-grade laptop. The T14 has proven to be just that — it's packed with solid features, runs smoothly, and strikes a great balance between performance and portability. It’s exactly what I needed for work and has fully met my expectations.

Solid workhorse
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used and was happy with Lenovo laptops before, and when I needed to replace my 10yo Dell, Lenovo is the first place I looked. I was able to get the features and upgrades I wanted at a reasonable price. Powerful but still very light and portable.

I wouldn’t recommend
Laptop overheats and screen freezes during remote work. Very poor battery life. This laptop loses power very quickly. The other laptop that I got was the HP Omnibook which was ironically much cheaper but has a better performance in regards to battery life, graphics, and NEVER overheating—even flat on the desk. I recommend the HP Omnibook plus a dock if you want to use an ethernet cord and have other types of extra slots available. In terms of specifications, the Thinkpad T14 Gen 5 should be better than the much lower priced HP Omnibook, but in reality, in my experience, and, at least, for remote work conferencing, it isn’t. Despite all of my complaints, I did keep this laptop as well as the HP. And, except for the random screen freezing, grainy video quality, and overheating—the laptop stand helped 13-20% with the overheating—I do use this laptop daily with an ethernet cord for remote work, anyway. And, I have the HP Omnibook to use as a backup should any issues arise. Another note is that there is a Lenovo feature to enhance the video image, but the quality still sucks. Not a dealbreaker, but comparing the mid level graphics of the Omnibook to the literally grainy graphics of the Thinkpad, you would be amazed; it’s a HUGE difference!

Regret purchase
Computer good except that I've had constant problems with turning the mic on and off (F4 key), often requiring me to repeatedly restart the computer to turn the mic on or off. Real problem when I use the laptop for online meetings. Latest issue was that a Lenovo firmware update led to the wireless no longer working, in fact the only way to access the internet now is using an ethernet connection. And it's not just one machine: bought two identical laptops and the same mic (F4) issue with both machines. Really regretting these purchases.

ThinkPad Review - challenges
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I wanted to share my experience with the laptop I recently received. While delivery was delayed, the laptop arrived in good condition. However, I’ve encountered some challenges setting it up. The upload of Office 365 and camera operations hasn’t been seamless—though this might be due to user error. Additionally, Teams in Outlook appears grayed out, and the solutions I’ve found in blogs haven’t resolved the issue yet.
