This unit was a really intriguing and fun build! The working landing gear & props are really cool. Also the "water" that can be dropped out of it is a neat imaginative touch! This set ended up being a lot larger than I thought it would be. I have now disassembled it while I figure out where I can put it on display. Once I figure that out, I'll have fun building it all over again!

Poor landing gear design
As another reviewer mentioned, the landing gear is poorly designed and binds frequently. Because of how the aircraft is designed, once this happens, it is nearly impossible to fix without completely disassembling the model.

Large and quite difficult model to construct
I very much enjoyed building this aeroplane, although it was quite difficult at some points. The finished result was, however, worth all the work done in getting the plane built.

MW built this aircraft
I bought this as a gift for a 9 year old because he has just been breezing through the builds on his age level. This was a 4 day build for him and a nice challenge. He did one misstep, but was able to get back on track and complete with all the functions working properly.

Great design
I have not been a big fan of technic sets but this one may have converted me. As always, you must be precise with every step for the end result to come together and have its moving parts function well. The design is brilliant. I looked at a pile of pins and pieces after opening each bag and was amazed how they came together. And this is a massive and very attractive plane. Good job, designers!

Excellent Gift for any Aviator
This was my first Technic set, and I was very much surprised by it. This set does a good job of helping the builder realize what mechanism they are completing as they go, making construction more fulfilling throughout. The set is bigger than I expected, but there’s no harm in that for me. I’m an aviation fan by heart, and this set certainly scratches that itch.
