Fun build

On behalf of my 3 year old son, YAY! So much fun had with this set. The characters in it are so cute and the cars are a fun variety from usual standard sets. He especially loved the food-themed car/driver. Stays permanently set up!

Duplo never disappoints!

A fabulous toy that encourages imagination, creativity and critial thinking. This set is quite extensive with a lot of parts and a lot of opportunities for customisation away from the recomended build on the box. Multiple vehicles and little people mean that children can play collaboratively, independently, or with adult involvement. Together, we were able to play and found that this set, like most from Duplo was great for working fine motor skills, vocabulary expansion and identifying shapes and colours.

Engaging

My 1.5 yr old toddler loves this. He plays with this by pushing the cars through the car wash and up and down the ramp. My husband believes our toddler is very engaged with this product. My own observation is also that he's engaged with it and he loves the cars. I don't think I could say he's engaged for more than around 10 minutes though. I guess this is expected from a toddler with their short attention span. I didn't give it a five star rating as I believe it's very expensive for what you get.

Fun but also frustrating.

We love this set, it looks nice and has a great amount of vehicles, figures and play scenarios. But quite a few things about the set frustrates my 3 yo. The red car is too wide to drive from the ramp to the roof, the van with the surfboard is too tall to fit in the car wash and the baseplates are a few studs too narrow, so the cars must be parked very precisely or they slide out. Also the ramp and the plates over the car wash beam are poorly attached. All minor things, but all together it makes for a somewhat frustrating play experience for my son. It doesn’t seem as well designed as some of the other sets in this price range.

Great 2 year old gift

This was bought for my 2 year Olds birthday. Love the ramp and he has had fun racing the cars down. Unfortunately, the 'push and go' car stopped working within an hour of play. I would have thought it would have been a bit more durable given the age it is aimed at. But overall great with many options for redesigning

Great for toddlers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loved helping to build this lego duplo set. His favourite part is the combi van of which he insisted the bird drives it. Overall he enjoyed the parking & carwash. However he soon showed less interest in the concept and since then only ever plays with the 3 vehicles, animals and people provided and he drives the vehicles up/down the ramp. He does not tend to use the whole set.He has only recently turned 3 so perhaps when he is abit older he will be interested in using the entire set. He was able to assist with the building of it having experience with building with lego duplo. The colour step by step booklets provided is great. I would have liked to see the blue suitcase be able to connect to the top of the combi van. The suitcase sits on top of the combi as shown on the box but thats it, so it just falls off. My son ended up placing the suitcase inside the combi with the bird and a person. I would recommend this set but I think the retail price is abit high for what you get.
