My opinion on this set

This set was a great set. I like the fact that you get the car, tree, and all these characters with this set. But like any set there is always room for improvement. Like adding more room for you to place characters in the potions chamber or Snape’s office. I find it really frustrating when I have to put snape back in his chair because it is in a cramped space. But over all I thing that this set is an over all win.

good filler pieces

i think that the whomping willow is used really well as a bunch of filler room to add more space between big buildings like the great hall and the clock tower and its cool that they designed it to just be simplistic nothing super special but just genuinley good

Alnwick Castle and so much for your money

This set is one of the best Harry Potter sets. You really get so much in one set and it looks good. I love that they took the iconic part filmed at Alnwick Castle and made it into Lego here, and having been there they've done a good job. Snapes office and the potions rooms are great, so nice to see those included, and yay we get Filtch but sadly no Mrs. Norris! You even get the Ford Anglia and Whomping Willow. Just so much here in this set, it really is one of the best Lego have done.

All the Minifigures are bad and the set is just so junky. My grandson liked it but I don't know what he is talking about.

Whomping Willow Castle

This set is amazing, and has such great play, with an opening on the whomping willow to have minifigures jump into, and a nice spinning feature on the tree, and is capable of lifting many other vehicles, such as the Mystery machine from the limited edition Scooby-Doo series, and whatever vehicle you want, and the castle has a nice build with Snape's office and multiple rooms, for a great Hogwarts castle.

The car

The car is by far the most interesting part of this build. The willow itself is clever. The castle is fun but the stickers are a pita. This is my first harry potter set do I don't have anything to compare it to. I'm a very slow builder as I have to take breaks often for my back so I imagine it would take someone else far less time then the 3 movies I watched while putting it together.

More Whirling than Whomping . . .

A little bit of everything. Builds with multiple discrete components like this one (car, tree, building structure) are amongst my favorites. Fun to complete each individual element and watch the scene develop as a whole. The tree was really well done and moves(!!!), which is a cool little feature. Nice addition to my Harry Potter shelf display. Recommend!
