Your Welcome !

This is a very good lego set. The Batman is a very good one. very well printed torso. i love the two batarangs. the madox is a great minifig also. the spear makes him look very tough. the star really stands out among the other parts of the set. the throne is very authentic. the metalbeard is good , but has room for improvement. it is hare to make him to stand up just right, and if you are like me, you want everything just right! but overall, Good job Lego!

Ahoy, I'm Batman!

The third Lego Movie 2 set I bought and this one's slightly bigger than the other two (Unikitty's Sweetest Friends & Benny's Space Squad). Let's just say, wow! It's so evenly balanced content-wise that I can't even decide which one was the main draw: Metalbeard or Battle Ready Batman because both are so cool that either of them could've easily been the sole star of their own sets with a bunch of throwaway characters and / or vehicles, instead we got both in a relatively cheap pack. Batman has his torn cape, post-apocalyptic suit and the main attraction: his battle armor. It looks even more incredible in person than on the pictures, the shoulder pads are actually made of the same rubber that Lego tyres are molded from so the whole piece consists of two different materials which blend seamlessly. Then there's Metalbeard who's a giant (at least by minifigure standards) half-crab steampunk automaton pieced together from ship parts and junk. Amazing how improvised he looks, yet somehow it works. What else do we have? Batman's throne made from a few interesting parts, the most notables of which are the pair of huge bat wings, two katanas, a ladder and most importantly: the cog-operated (a simple but clever little mechanism) swinging sign which is surprisingly a printed element. You read that right, there are no stickers (which are my eternal bane) in this set either. Kudos! Then there's a star, named Star, made from a star-shaped (duh) new-ish piece and a printed 2x2 tile doubling as its face, who gladly sits atop the crow's nest. The other minifigure (Maddox for anyone who cares) can stand comfortably in the small 'batcave' at the back of the throne, armed with his spear and Metalbeard's spare sword, guarding the two batarangs while Batman holds onto the third one which brings me to my next point: there are a few notable extra items. On top of the above mentioned batarang and classic pirate sword is one of each sausage and bone (which all fit in Metalbeard's chest together with the other two already there), Batman's utility belt and a 1x1 printed lock tile. I also welcomed the oldschool chainsaw (of Ice Planet fame) for which there is no extra but I still found it worthy to note its presence. What more could I possibly add? Two main characters in one affordable bundle. Go get it!

Cool Batman

The Batman mini figure is cool enough, but metalbeard is a bit more fragile than I'd have liked.

I'm Batman, Your Welcome!

THE LEGO® MOVIE 2™ (TLM2) Battle-Ready Batman™ and MetalBeard. Set #70836, 169 pieces. Comes with Batman, MetalBeard in crab mech form, Madox and Star figure. Accessories include two Batarangs. two pirate swords, and Maddox’s spear. Batman's throne has a ladder, batwings and moveable sign. MetalBeard crab form has possible legs, a crow tower, flag, and treasure chest that holds a surprise. This is was very well designed and has so much playability for everyone. The Batman minifigure is probably everyone's favorite and this figure is truly deserving the throne. With his Apocalypseburg new styled armor, cape, all new print and new molds. There is also a little "Easter egg", the red Batman logo hub cap on his chest armor is from the original Batmobile in Batman TV show. Over all this set was a very fun build and only had a couple little problems, one was getting MetalBeards legs posed just right to stand when you have Madox in the crow nest, but I found if you turn back two legs out just a little more it will be more stable. The Star figure is very difficult to stand up on its own (because it flies around and does not have legs), however I wanted my Star figure to be able to be placed along side my other figures. So placed a couple of 1x1 clear plate on the back and works great, no more falling over. (picture below on how I placed pieces). Happy Building Everyone.

Metal-Beard and Batman

This set is pretty nice for a small set, It comes with 4 characters and a variety of ways to use them. My favorite part of this set is Metal-Beard, I found it to be neat how inside his pirate chest you have bones and hot dogs that act like his guts. His legs are also nice. Batman’s stand is ok and the sign is a little hard to rotate, unless you are holding the base, as for the Batman minifigure he is pretty special with his armor. Maddox is ok but his shoulder pad with spikes is neat. The Star figure is 2 pieces and is mostly there to look cute it does not stand up on its own so that’s a little disappointing. Over all this is a decent set that is good to play with or display. Please like this review, And Thanks for reading.
