Disappointing

The tubes do not connect. The microscope never has a clear image. Very disappointed.

Disappointed with the poor quality

This toy had such great potential but the bad quality of the parts makes the toy almost unusable. The microscope is very difficult to use - pretty much impossible for a 3-4 year old, and not due to its complexity. The tubes do not connect to the funnel and keep falling off on its own. If you add any water/liquid, it will surely fall and make a mess everywhere. The glasses have sharp edges and might pinch a child's finger. The adjustable stand is flimsy and keeps falling. If it was weighted at the bottom it would work. The kids of the sensory tubes don't fit well - you can eve see it on the packaging image. I should have spotted that. The eyedropper isn't long enough. We ended up using another one. The activity cards should have been spiral bound to keep them together. All in all, this is a toy seems like it was designed by someone who doesn't know how kids play. Save your money and buy a Nat Geo kit instead.

Hello and Thank you for sharing your feedback. The tubes are a little tricky to keep on, but once attached it should not easily be removed. We are always looking for ways to improve our products and could not do that without your feedback, I will be sure to pass this information along to our team. We do appreciate your continued support in our products.

High hopes but pretty disappointed

My 3 yr old received this as a Christmas gift. She is pretty advanced and able.to understand a lot ofnthe experiments but most 3 yr olds are just gonna be watching these experiments so think 3 is a bit young. My biggest issue is the quality. I am not sure if we just got an off kit but the microscope is near impossible for a kid to use because if the eye piece gets pushed on with any weight at all it moves it and then unfocused it. My 6 yr old and 10 yr old had issues with it so not sure if ours is just way to loose and is not built right or if it is the way it is designed. The tubes don't stay on and the purple holders don't keep anything level. The top of the large tube also doesn't screw on well and you have to fight it on one side. The threads are a bit off. Again not surenifnitnis every kit or we just got a bunk one but super disappointed. My toddler loves science and doing experiments and we have other kits and science toys and this has by far been the hardest for her to use and the worst built. I'll probably look to spend another $60 on a national geographic kit or something that is made better. This kit makes me not want to buy from this brand again which is unfortunate since they have so much science and educational stuff but if it is poor quality amd I have to create workarounds for everything not worth it. Wished it would have worked out as we would have bought kits for the Montessori classroom but gonna pass. Too bad, it had so much potential.

Stick with the primary set and save your $$

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Deluxe set seemed like a step up from the Primary Science Lab Set, but the tubes don't connect properly and it falls over. The microscope does not work well, and the experiments are not that exciting either. The tools are well made, but the items don't work well together for the price. Stick with the primary set and save your money.

Wow!

Fun, fun, fun. My grandson likes to help with cooking, so I thought he would love mixing potions and colors. I was right. So cool.

Age is too high (better for 5-6 year olds) but still fun

Pros: realistic lab tools, fosters science vocabulary engaging activity cards uses common household items fosters imaginative play Cons: more appropriate for an older learner, perhaps 5-6 year olds, with adult assistance, even older for independence; activity cards should be bi-lingual
