Timeless, feminine

I am always on the lookout for timeless investment pieces. This wide-leg pant is one such and will pair well with sweaters, sweater sets, and blazers. The crepe fabric is heavy and swishes a bit when I walk (for me, the length is long, even with 4" heels, so a visit to my tailor was in order). The pintuck pleats make a stylish fashion statement. NB: The winter white is unlined but not transparent, and there are no pockets in this design, but without such additional fabric, the fit is form-fitting and attractive. I am looking forward to wearing this piece both dressed up and dressed down. To me, it's a cut or two above casual, even with a sweater, and would work well with a satin blouse or camisole.

Disappointed Again

Until the last year or so, my clothing purchases were exclusively Lauren Ralph Lauren. Unfortunately, the quality in fabric and fit has diminished considerably since, and I've returned several purchases for these reasons. My most recent return was women's pleated crepe slacks. The "crepe" fabric was very dissimilar to a quality crepe with which I am familiar. This fabric was heavier with less drape. The pants were not lined. They were ridiculously long. Being 5'5" tall, and a size 6, they would have required the removal of at least 5 " from the hemline....even while wearing heels. The quality that is Ralph Lauren was once available at the "Lauren" price point. Unfortunately I can't afford Purple prices, even when those items are discounted heavily. The Lauren label no longs satisfies the quality that I once enjoyed.

Fit terrible. 5 ft 10 in & were 4 in too long.
