Beautiful but runs small

This dress was beautiful on the hanger. The fabric was flowing and beautiful colors. However, the fit was off for me. Way too tight at the waist. And I sized up when I ordered as Ralph Lauren seems to run small now (didn’t use to be that way). It was also way too long and I didn’t want to have to pay for alterations on such an expensive dress. Was not offered in a petite-that might have fit better. I returned.
