looks are deceiving

I ordered this oval bowl because I thought the size of the round bowls was too large. I had a 10" oval bowl from another pattern and it was the perfect size, so when I saw the mandarin 10" bowl I ordered it. What a surprise !!! it is 10" in length, but VERY NARROW, as previous review said " great for asperagus ". I should have read the reviews before ordering it. It is very pretty, and I am keeping it, but I am very disappointed in it's size.

Yes, it's small

I agree; this bowl is too small. The 10 1/4 inch length is fine, but it is very narrow--about 5 1/4 inches--and shallow. I measured the capacity at just barely over one quart to the rim. Good for three servings of whole green beans or a few asparagus spears. It's pretty, though.

really tiny

I registered for this online. When i got it, I was embarrassed that someone had spent so much money on it for me. It's so small. It might serve a cup of corn.
