absolutely stunning, but...
I bought this skirt through Land's End School, as a part of my school's uniform. It's so adorable! I absolutely love it, but unfortunately I can't wear it... My school requires skirts to be no more than 2 inches above the knee, and this skirt comes to my mid thigh--about 6 inches above the knee. In my opinion this should be classified as a 'mid thigh' skirt and not an 'above the knee'. Although it's quite modest it does not meet my school's requirements. I'm keeping the skirt and might try to sneak it in a few times during the school year. 😊 Other than the length, this skirt is lovely. I ordered my usual size (4) and it fit very well, not suffocating me, but not falling down. (for reference I'm 5' 6", 135 lbs., 27 inch waist) Great material, doesn't wrinkle, and stunning design.

My Daughter's Favorite School Skirt
Perfect skirt for school! It's not too fitted, has built in shorts and it looks feminine. Great skirt that always looks neat straight out of the dryer.

Wrinkle free
I’ve bought this for my five year old daughter several times. This is pretty short on her, so we go up one size and I cut the shorts out because once you get to a size 7 there’s a zipper in the back. It’s a little hard for her to zip up and down a back zipper and being able to remove shorts makes potty time less stressful. The attached shorts are also pretty small and annoying. The skort is so cute and doesn’t wrinkle, so we’ll keep buying these!

Faulty zipper
We also had the zipper come apart while she was at school. For the price I would expect better quality.

Great for Scottish celebrations!
I needed a kilt for a Robert Burns dinner and this skirt came in handy for this event! It washed well and I wore it with red boots and a navy blue knit top I bought years ago at Lands End (their clothes really last well). I then wore it to two other events as a cute skirt. I didn't like the attached pants underneath because of needing to unzipper the skirt to use the restroom but this turned out not to be a problem when I got used to it and the pants provided extra warmth and modesty because it is so short.

Bad zipper
This skirt is so cute and perfect for my 8th grade daughter, but after the first week of school the zipper completely popped while she was putting it on one mornkng and now it is unusable. The skirt was not snug on her or too small, just pulled on it and it popped. Not great for a plaid skirt that I can only get at Lands End in order to comply with school policy. Have plain skirts from other stores for much less money that have held up for months now.

Cute style, but a bit small if you have hips
I love this length and style - it's below fingertips (for those using it as a uniform, I'm not), but still short enough to be stylish. The side pleats are flattering. However, it's a bit tight in the hips if you have any sort of curves. I'm 5'9", 160 lbs, muscular build with a larger bum and ordered my usual size 8. It fit okay, but pulled and pleated a bit over the hips - the side pockets prevent it from stretching in that area. I'll try a 10 because I love the style!
