Beware that "shale gray" color is actually very pale ice blue/grey --stronger blue tones when put next to true gray. Towels are large, expecially the hand towels and fluffy prior to washing. The quality was mixed- some towels had pulls in the terry. Had to return since color was NOT GRAY. Lands End would only issue merchandise credit after taking the return to Happy Returns. They would not provide a free return shipping label as they used to.

Thin and of lower quality than previous versions
The quality of this towel has gone down considerably from last year, when I bought a set of the same type for my guest bathroom. These new ones are much lighter in weight and less fluffy. As another reviewer noted, now you have to wash them in cold water on "delicate", which I can do, but what's up with that? Delicate towels?

Shale Gray More Blue
Have purchased towels in the past and quite happy with them. Thought I would refresh and purchase new. Ordered sets in both Rich Steel and Shale Gray. Rich Steel color is as pictured; however, Shale Gray is more blue than gray and in photo on line represents as more gray. Hoping the quality upholds as did last purchase. Beware when ordering Shale Gray.

Color does not match!!!
I bought the Roasted Walnut Supima towels with bath matts of the same color name. Love the towels but SO DISAPPOINTED that the matt color is not even close. It is way lighter - about half the shade of the towels - and much grayer. Looks kind of like it was faded. No one could tell me if there is a better match co I am returning the entire order.

Very thin
Unfortunately, after waiting in anticipation for several months for my backordered towels to arrive, I was so disappointed to find that they are very thin and cheaply made. I thought they would fluff out after being washed, but they’re terribly thin. It is not at all the quality I expected from Lands’ End

Not what they use to be
I loved towels and order several sets and colors. They washed so well, the colors were lovely, the sizes were generous. NOW the colors as with much of Lands End fabrics and clothing, are dark and drab. As mentioned by another user the towel fabric does unravel or looks stagged after a couple of washings. NOT WHAT THEY USE TO BE!!

Not as great as I thought at first
I bought my first set of these, and about few months later, I was feeling pretty good about them and ordered a second set. Now, about 8 months later, all of them seem to be on self destruct. At first I chalked it up to them being used in our Airbnb. They looked like maybe the guests had been using a dog brush on them. So I pulled them all out of service and started using them myself - very carefully. Same thing. Loose threads all over the place. I don’t have time to spend an hour with tiny scissors to tidy up the towels after every use or wash. They’re comfy though - and still fluffy, but I won’t buy any more.

So soft
I’ve been looking to replace some of my bath towels when I came across a review on the internet for these towels. I’ve always had good luck with Lands End products so I thought why not. So soft, so fluffy and so big. Wash up beautifully too! So glad I bought these.
