Size is not standard

The shirt is fine, but the sizing is very off. When I compare the 8/10 size that I bought last year to the next size up this year, it’s nearly double the size. My son will be swimming in this shirt for the majority of the school year until it shrinks down from washing. It puts me in a tough place because I’m not going to order the same size as last year that is too small, but I’m not happy that his new school clothes are way too huge. Other parents have said the same thing when they had their clothes shipped to them also.

Not What I Expect from Lands End

I am a female, but I have been wearing these boys t-shirts for years. This year, however, I am very disappointed. I usually take a boys large, but this year (because of sizing changes) I bought an X-large. They were too tight in the arms and not made as well as they usually are. I returned them all.

Why did they mess with a good thing?

Meh. But to be fair, it wasn't designed to fit a female body. I had hoped this would be a good replacement for the Boy's T that Land's End had inexplicably downgraded, but it isn't. It doesn't help that they changed the sizing, but even adjusting for that, it doesn't work. However, my spouse (men's medium) can wear it pretty well.

New features

I have bought Lands End boys long sleeve tees for over 12 years. I'm 5' 2" and 112 lbs. and up until this past year have worn a large 14-16. It's now labeled XL 14-16. The material is thinner and the sleeves are almost 2 inches shorter after washing, they don't reach my wrists. Very disappointed!

Great- but super slow processing

This shirt is great for our child’s PE requirements at his school, but took around 2 months to get to us. I understand it takes several weeks to process but our order kept getting backordered. Luckily I ordered it a little in advance, but my quickly growing son was outgrowing his previous size. We have the short sleeve version and the logo quickly rubs off in the dryer after weekly drying in about 3 months. I recommend only hang drying it.
