Great, but

Great, tweeter sucks, cracking after 5 months, muds out metal music.

Very nice entry and upgrade level speakers.

Great midrange speakers once broken in. Need a subwoofer to complete the audio range. They play nice and loud with no distortion. Recommend for you home studio or small to medium size home theater/listening room.

First Impression

I just got mine today and I already love them! Paired with Yamaha A-S201 amp and Fiio K13 as DAC/preamp. The sound is super crisp, large with wonderful separation and imaging. Music is live and full with plenty of bass (if you need more you can add more using Yamaha tunning), watching movies on them is like the movie is alive (that's the most accurate way I can describe it) . I became Klipsch fan immediately and for sure will have more of their speakers in the future.

Sounds great if you equalize moderately

This sounds fine, with equalization at five different points, no more than +/- 3db anywhere. That's not sarcasm. After I broke it in over a few days, then adjusted five frequencies with parametric equalizer, then adjusted subwoofers to blend in a real bottom end, then tweaked with + or- one decibel bass/treble on SMSL AO200 amp, all sounds much better than you would think based on the list price. So I've put off my search for discounted new Heresys or Fortes, and will be content with these for a good long while.

Best hands down

Was a Yamaha fan for years but if you want the best these speakers are it especially when matched to the Onkyo receiver

Just OK; I wouldn’t buy them again.

Got these to replace JBL J216A that I’ve had since 1985. (They started to have issues after nearly 40 years.) The R50M don’t sound near as good as the old speakers. The R50M sound tinny & just don’t have as rich sound. I know there may be a “break in period”, so perhaps the sound will improve a bit. If I would’ve taken the time to research a bit more, I would’ve chosen a different model, probably the RP500M, which can be had for about the same price as these R50Ms. I don’t want to pay the return shipping, so I’m keeping these for now, but I do not recommend.

The design works not onlly for the eye

I bought them for 5 mounth ago. I use them with an S.M.S.L. reciever and with a klipsch r112sw subwoofer for any kind of sound comes out from my pc and tv and… and ITS GREAT! The lows, the highs are like a whole cinema, concert, or studio. I CAN highly recommend it. The designe was made for its functionality and it make more pleasure to me. The “stage” what they creats just áteső e. I CAN not really Tell, how good are these , because how you explain the rainbow to a blind person?
