Just … wow

I read the first book & immediately bought the second one , from the descriptive language to the story line itself is just amazing ! A must read !!! I cannot wait for her next book to drop ! I am waiting in anticipation.

A Major Improvement on the First Book

I found this book to be a much bigger improvement to the first book! I really appreciated seeing a lot of Emilia's blatant naivete fade away throughout this book since I did not really like her as a character in the first book, she just kind of ran into every dangerous situation like a fool in Kingdom of the Wicked. I also understand that this book is intended for a more mature audience and I found that reflected both in Emilia's character herself and in the romance. I think that the decision to age-up this series was a very good move on Maniscalco's part. - Spoilers - The romantic scenes between Emilia and Wrath (or.... the Devil!!!) were pretty decent and I could feel that they had chemistry. I find myself intrigued for the next book(s), primarily about all of the different princes. I would appreciate seeing more of their true personalities beyond their sin and learning about their backstories. I'm hoping that Maniscalco continues with this trend of each book being better than the last, and with that hope in mind I will definitely be watching for the next book and picking it up someday.

Just as impressive as the first!

I couldn't put it down again!!! Second in the series and just as awesome as the first! I'm hating that I have to wait months for the next one to come out.

I loved it

I could not put this down! I am an avid sci-fi/fantasy book fan and this is refreshingly different! The main character is a little annoying in my personal opinion lol but still a great read!

SO GOOD

I'm not going to lie, plot wise, the book was lacking in a MOVING plot but that was perfect because A LOT of character development happened with Emilia--she even acknowledged that she wasn't the same person she was before and I loved that--and this was the perfect bridge to do that before the rest of the plot came into play. The ending? SUCH A GREAT WAY TO BUILD FOR THE THIRD BOOK!! Like...idk what is even going on anymore, idk who to believe anymore, all I know is that I NEED THE NEXT BOOK. I loved exploring this world along with Emilia and it was honestly so fun meeting Warth's brothers and learning more about this world. And all the allies Emilia has made...I'm in love with them all. I can't get over how much of Wrath's true personality started coming out. It was...so so so so good. And the steamy ness with Wrath and Emilia??? Miss Kerri PUHLEASE. The chemistry was off the charts. Overall I had such a blast reading this.
