Not a well made product

We were looking for a new vacuum to replace a canister vacuum that i finally got fed up with upon emptying it, I'd get more dust around the trashcan than went in it. So we decided to get an upright bagged as that has always been tried and true. Upon unpacking and assembling, the lower rubber hose that comes out from underneath vacuum would not stay attached to the plastic piece which connects the hoses together. No matter how I tried to get it to stay locked within that plastic piece, it kept coming detached. We've decided to return the vacuum as it appears this is not made of high quality. Kinda disappointed as I have a Kenmore canister vacuum that 20+ years old and still works fine but is a bit heavy to take up and down the steps. Now we start all over again.
