I was excited when I first saw this blazer online—I didn’t hesitate for a second, especially since I’ve been a longtime fan of Lagerfeld’s designs, quality, and originality. However, I was disappointed when the blazer arrived. Two of the studded embellishments fell off right out of the blazer, and it was clear I would either need a professional to repair it or return it for an exchange. Upon closer inspection, I noticed it was single-stitched throughout, and the embellishments appeared flimsy and poorly secured. To make matters worse, the blazer requires hand washing, which added to my hesitation about keeping it. I’ve been a Lagerfeld fan ever since Macy’s began carrying the brand, but for the high price I paid, I expected much better craftsmanship. Unfortunately, I’ll be returning this blazer and will be more cautious with future Lagerfeld purchases. I do not recommend this blazer.
Overall a nice jacket.
This jacket has sharp KL tailoring, fits well, somewhat lightweight fabric. HOWEVER: I will be removing large sequins as they clash with camellia embellishments and make it look cheap. Without sequins it provides desired sophisticated look. I will pair it up with my Chanel camellia purse and jewelry for the night out.
I wanted to love it, but...
This blazer is so cute, however it ended up being a disaster. The black dye bled all over the white jeans and white top that I wore underneath. There are tags on it that states that it's a delicate piece, but it was referring to the embellishments on it. There was no information that stated that the color could transfer to lighter colors. I have never had a problem with wearing white under a black blazer or suit jacket, so I didn't think it would be an issue here. I returned it and it was deemed defective. I thought about washing (hand wash only)and keeping it, but at that price point the quality should've been better.
