Falling apart Jordan jersey
The jersey for my grandson was falling apart although I didn’t notice until he was wearing it after Christmas!
Macy’s Customer Service is Dead
I ordered an online jersey for my nephew for Christmas. It was placed nearly a month before the 25th of December. I only bought because it guaranteed in stock pick up at the store. Turned out it was NOT in stock. They lied. Their point of sale system is so faulty you never trust the info. I received an email saying it would be cancelled which was what I wanted. If they can’t guarantee arrival BEFORE my travel it’s no sale. But their customer service line has very little information, no authority to do anything, and even less motivation to try to fix a customer problem. After multiple calls, each time on hold for over 30 minutes before I hung up ( to try to talk to anyone with authority). In the end I was literally told “ just let it ship, and then return it”. When it could have and SHOULD have been cancelled when they flipped the script and changed the stock status. Now I’m faced with trying to return the jersey. And I will. But the run around Macy’s puts their dwindling customer base through is exactly why they will die the retail death of so many other anchor stores at malls. I say good riddance! They were always a cheaper, Wana be Marshall Fields. I had the horror of misfortune working one holiday season for them back in the early 2000’s. Even then, the mgmt style and corporate infrastructure was poor. Retaining employees worth their salt was a joke. Today that joke is now so old and worn there no more laughs left. Save your time money and sanity. Avoid Macys. Avoid any store that thinks railroading clients into forced sales is how to win customer loyalty. 🤮
