Setting the Air Conditioner up was very easy and fits almost anywhere due to its small size. Works great in small areas for making everything cool. It has multiple setting and different temperatures to set at and the remote works well.

Works ok
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These ac units work ok. Its not meant to cool an entire house. But if you want to use it to cool a bedroom or just a smaller room then it seems to work well.. I find that the portable Ac units don't seem to last as long as the old school window units. But they do work if that is the only option.. It is nice that there is basically nothing to install its just an easy plug it isn and put a hose/vent for drainage to a window.

Awesome air conditioner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love the portable air conditioner. Was very easy to set up. Very powerful. Works great. Gets cold love the difference settings. Office room is in the attic area so it get super hot . With in a half hour went from 98 to 74. Makes so much easier to work.

Great for temporary or permanent cooling
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I acquired this portable A/C for my shop area which is not air conditioned, and here in the South that's a real problem for most of the year. We run A/C 10 months of the year in our home, and a 10 X 10 shop area with no insulation or A/C is unusable in the hot months. This unit does the trick without requiring a hole in the wall and higher capacity wiring. To make this work, you need a 110 volt outlet, and a window. An air conditioner removes heat and humidity from the space in which it is located. This unit puts out cold air on the front side, and hot air on the back. It comes with a flexible hose that is like a dryer vent hose with an attachment adapter on the unit end and accessories to mount the other end in a window. Read the simple directions. Hook up the hose. Plug it in and push the button. You will have cold air in moments. There is a thermostat on the unit, a setting for fan only, and a "sleep" control, all of which are well explained in the accompanying instruction book. The unit is on wheels so it is easy to move and put back against the wall when you're not using it and need the space. On the first day I used it with the outdoor temperature at 90 degrees, it brought the temperature in the above mentioned shop down from 98 to 75 in about an hour. We'll be working in my Son's garage later this week, and I'm bringing it with me over there.

Well made
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit replaced a window unit. It's much better than a window unit as you can move it around. Also the actual window opening for the vent is a lot smaller than a window unit. These units are louder than central air for work well for a smaller space where you need air but don't want to incur the cost of central air or a mini split.

A/C is great Hose not so much
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This portable AC came just in time for a week's worth of triple digits. My husband couldn't wait to set it up in our gym. After reading the instructions he tried putting the attachment on the vent hose. It wouldn't work. It took 20 minutes of both of us trying to finally get it on. When we then tried to put the other end on, it wouldn't work. The hose would collapse every time we tried turning it on. We then just ended up pulling it through the attachment. Everything else about the AC is great. It get very cold, comes with a remote and isn't very loud. If the hose situation was fixed it would've been a 5 star product.

Perfect for a small house
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my JHS 8,000 BTU portable air conditioner with remote. We normally run a swamp cooler for the summer because we don’t have an AC unit. This was easy to move around and cool down certain room we are in.

Could be better…
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to try out this AC with the weather changing here in San Diego but it didn’t work as good as I’d hope. The air did not feel cold at all and it was very loud so I couldn’t sleep. I moved it from the living room to the smarts room in the house thinking that might be the issue but nothing changed.
