forever ignitor problem

After owning a Jetboil for nearly two decades and frequently encountering ignition problems, I decided to upgrade to the latest model, expecting these issues to be resolved. Unfortunately, the new igniter failed on me, leaving me with a less-than-ideal cold freeze-dried meal experience. Despite this setback, I remain hopeful that Jetboil will address these ignition issues. Overall, when functioning correctly, it's an exceptional stove. I'll make sure to pack a backup lighter for my next adventure.

Best Camping/Hiking purchase ever!

Exactly what my son needed to elevate his camping/hiking experience. Ultra lightweight, starts easily and every time so far, and easy to spot in the woods! Great value, two thumbs way up, 10/10; highly recommend.

LID!!

I recently was gifted this system and it works great besides the lid, which fits so poorly that it will come off when pouring out water creating a massive safety hazard.

Lids Falls Off

The lid falls off when you turn the pot to pour. It Barely stays on. The Zip Lid replacement i was sent did not work much better. You can tell from the photo of this product that there is almost no lip to the lid to hold it on. I have to hold the lid on with a finger when I pour. The lid needs to be redesigned.

Whats up with the lid???

I've used other liquid gas units for years and been very happy with them, but always admired the jetboil modular design. I finally decided to buy one and, was excited to pull it out of the box when I received it. Everything was pretty much what I expected until I packed it up and the silly lid that comes with it wouldn't stay fixed on top of the cup. The lid's fit is so loose in fact that if you turn it upside down everything will fall right out of it. So if you toss it in the back of your car, floor board or otherwise, you'll get a nice little yard sale of components. It seems to me that when the unit is packed up for transport it should stay that way. Functionally, for heating water and cooking it's good. The modular design is good. The lid.... that was a fumble in my opinion. I had to wrap the unit with an elastic band and velcro closure to hold it together (this shouldn't be necessary). I would recommend this unit, but with the caveat of the fiddly lid.

Liable ~> Jetboil

Hi, I’ve been using Jetboil products for what seems like 15 (+\-) years now. I have several units that my wife and I use regularly. We have dedicated units divided between different load outs for the different camping styles we’ll be doing at any given time. For when we go out into the bush, car camping, day hikes, etc. I found myself here by researching what I’d consider a glaring issue I had come across with our latest addition from Jetboil. Within the last hour, I just received Jetboil’s MicroMo in the mail. The intended use for this unit is to live in my daypack for day hikes. While familiarizing myself with the unit. I’d discovered the same issue aforementioned here regarding the lid. As a result of my extensive experience with these products, I’d noticed immediately how loose the lid was on the rim of the unit. It does not secure onto the rim whatsoever. It literally just rests on the rim. This is a huge concern of mine I’d thought for the same reason(s) mentioned here! The risk of injury to myself or to anyone using this unit can certainly be highly subjected to burns from 200+ degrees of hot water. Risk of injury like this while in the bush miles from proper aid is unacceptable. This is a massive issue for Jetboil’s team to address. The lids for this unit should be recalled and provided with replacements ASAP. This is a huge oversight on their behalf. I do give benefit of the doubt that this was not a design flaw due to the engineering department. Because, a properly fitting lid is a basic standard for a product like this one here. Rather, I’d have to say this is likely a manufacturing issue. However, this manufacturing issue should have been discovered and addressed immediately by the R&D department before market release. Which again leads me back to this issue and it’s existence as being unacceptable. Especially from a company as well established and experienced as Jetboil is; a loose fitting lid is ridiculous to say the least. Furthermore, I took notice that this issue was brought to and acknowledged by a Jetboil team member 2 months ago. I’d expect it would be safe to assume that this issue will be resolved soon? P.s. I am positively looking forward to when I can revisit this comment, and update it with a new comment with good news that this issue has been properly resolved. Thank you
