Not Recommended. Looks good temporarily. Not Gold

This necklace was purchased for my 12 year old son for his birthday. I purchased it just after Christmas when it was "on sale" for less than half of the "list price". His Bday was a few months away so we kept it wrapped. a couple months after his birthday we noticed the gold was dulling. We cleaned it with jewelry cleaner and the solution started turning yellow. The necklace was no longer shinning gold but revealing a heavy tarnish. Took it to macy's they wouldn't do anything because 30 days had passed. They agreed that it should not have done that so they sent me to Corporate. Months later, still no resolution. I've reached out to America Express for help since I used their card to purchase. We'll see if I get a better result. I've been regular local shopper at Macy's for years, and am grossly disappointed at the lack of resolution. Clearly I was shipped a product that was not real and did not align to the description or expectation of me, nor the store manager who saw the condition.
