I love this book series! The characters are very well crafted and the plot line is impeccable. Personally, for me, I would've lied to see a little more development in certain relationships. And what I mean by this is a more in debt explanation of one's feelings but this isn't a romance novel so I can look past that! The movie is just as great and I would definitely read again!

Oh boy!
A lot of truth serum is required to make the character motivation believable.

Insurgent Book Review
Insurgent book review The main character killed her friend to survive…but now what? Veronica Roth nailed it again. Veronica Roth’s best selling book, Divergent, was a total success and the second book in the series, Insurgent, was a close follow. The book started right where Divergent left off and is a great sequel to the first story in the series. In Divergent we learn about a girl named Beatrice who chose to abandon her selfless Abnegation family and choose the fearless and brave Dauntless. Insurgent continues with the dystopian vibe in which their life is separated into 5 factions (Abnegation, Candor, Amity, Erudite, and Dauntless). The factions were created with the hopes of no future war and violence. It was believed that if each person selects their faction and focuses only on their faction's rules everyone will be equal and there will be no conflict. Beatrice is also one of those who do not perfectly fit in any single faction, a group feared and hated by many, known only as the Divergent. In Insurgent she continues on her journey through heartbreaks and happiness to find out who she really is. This book is a great addition to the Divergent series. Veronica Roth’s realistic story telling makes the reader feel like the story could really happen in the future. The villain in the story was perfectly written, believable and convincing. The development of the characters was enjoyable to read about. Roth's terse and clipped writing style keeps the reader flying through the book. Sometimes one might find them self wishing there was more description in places, but overall Roth's style works well for her genre. I recommend this book to ages 12-up because of gun violence and stabbing. It is a great book if you like science fiction, fantasy and dystopian novels. The plot development throughout the book was impressive and I rate this book a 9.5/10.
