I had high hopes for this product, but it was simply a let down. It wouldn't grip my hair to even use to do a flip or light waves like I desired. My hair texture: I'm Asian, medium to fine, naturally straight, pass my shoulders.I'm glad I could take it to any Macys for a speedy return hence the 2 stars.
Best hair tool ever
I LOVE this hair iron. I have thick Asian hair and I always took so long to set my hair in the morning with regular curling iron. Not any more!! I usually corm my hair they apply jojoba oil before I use it, it makes my hair shiner and smooth.I only curl my tips naturally so I haven't tried curling my hair with this, it seems like needs practice to do so.Best hair styling tool I have ever purchased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a good product. I like that you don't have to have your brush in one hand and the straightener in the other. I have long thick hair so I had to go over the same section twice but it does make your hair shiny.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is very easy to straighten your hair using the MAX 2-Way rotating iron because as it is brushing your hair it straightens essentially and faster than usual. I had the chance to use it twice and it was wonderful!

Love it.
I love this product. I have very thick wavy hair and this works great for straighteneing. At first I didn't love it for curling but now that I'm used to it, I absolutely love it. My hair lookes better after curling with the Instyler than with curling rods or a straightener. It smoothes the hair as it curls which I love as my hair tends to be frizzy. Whether I straighten or curl with it, the frizz is gone. It's the only product I need for straightening and curling my hair.
Needs Some Practice
I think I need to watch more tutorial videos on how to use the InStyler, because I need some practice. Anything takes time to get used to, but I haven't completely fallen in love with it, yet. It did straighten my hair well, but as for shine, I didn't see any, perhaps its just the way my hair is and the heat protectant product I used. Also, my hair is pretty long so it was too much for the barrel at one time...I was trying to get that wavy, beach hair look. I have no doubt I'll love it when I get better at it, but for now, I'm indifferent.
