Health hazard packaging

wish I could review this top as I was really looking forward to trying it on. But when I opened the package, it REEKED of some kind of perfume. I'm allergic to MANY perfumes, and my nose immediately began running and my throa started to get closed, So I wasn't able to try on any of the 3 items in the pkg. This is the 3rd or 4th time that I've received a Macy's pkg that reeked of perfume. Why the heck is this happening?

Turtle neck top

Lovely fabric and colors. I like the neck and it is a comfortable blouse. This top looks nice under a jacket or an open front cardigan.
