Not the way they used to make them

I have gotten these pajama bottoms for years and this year I found out they’re making them differently. There’s a ribbon tie in the front that used to go all the way around with the elastic but now it only goes from the side to the front on The left and the right. I put them on for the first time and the ribbon broke off on both sides immediately. Thankfully, there’s also elastic so the ribbon is kind of pointless, but why cheap out on putting less ribbon in it only to have it come apart? In my opinion, for $48 even if on sale not worth it anymore
