Holds more than you might think...

This is a spacious hamper. It holds A LOT. 13 inches at the base, 17 at the top. and 24 inches tall. It has a cloth liner, so I don't use it for damp items, like washcloths or towels--I use mine for delicates/cold water wash. It is attractive, unlike most laundry hampers, so if you keep it in the bedroom you don't have to hide it in a closet or exile it to a corner. I like the lid, too, but as it fits so much, I've never had it "overfull" with a lopsided cover (yet!). It does have handles at the sides by the top, which makes for awkward handling. Only drawback is that it's pricey, but I'm glad I bought it. If you want an attractive, spacious hamper, this is it! Sturdy enough so a cat can can sit on it.......mine hasn't tried--yet.......
