I don't understand the problem with the flap? I loved this straight out of the box so have my friends the are trying to get me to order them one as well.

shiatsu massage pillow with heat

Shiatsu pillow works well and gives a great massage. The only thing missing is a shut-off timer like my old one had. Instructions say to use it for no more than 15 minutes per session, so you have to pay attention to the time.

It found me again!

I have had this for over 10 years and stopped using it after surgery. Now I am suffering again so I found it in my basement and started using it again. So much better than just heat.

Heat function caused burns while using

This pillow works well for massage function, but the heat on our pillow must have gotten to hot or malfunctioned because it actually burned my skin. I rarely use the heat function, but decided to the other day since it was a cold Midwestern night. I had the massage setting on with the heat and repositioned the pillow a few times, so the heat was never just static sitting on one area for an extended amount of time. The morning I mentioned to my husband touched my shoulder and I noticed that it hurt and said it almost felt burned. He moved my shirt back and saw that it was blistered. I am glad it didn't happen to one of my kids, and I will not be using the heat function again. I only used the pillow for about 30-40 minutes while watching a tv show. Pillow should be equipped with a self shut-off function to avoid over-heating and should not get hot enough to scald the skin to begin with.

Defective unit

Product was garbage because it didn't work. Had to send it back and haven't heard anything. Also haven't gotten a replacement or refund.

Great but takes a while to warm up!

Overall I really like the massage pillow. I bought it because I've been having a lot of back pain recently but it seems like it take a while to finally warm up. Other than that I have no complaints.
