Not happy and would like to return item.

My mom is not happy with the feel of the fabric so we would like to return these sheets. I don't live with her, but I ordered them for her. She said there wasn't any kind of paperwork in the box. What is the protocol for returning this item? There is a Macy's store near her but I understand she will need some kind of paperwork to return them and have card credited.
