Solid Wood Flawed Design

I recently purchased this table and while I appreciate the solid wood construction, there are a few design flaws. the table top rests on top of the leaves, which means you can't extend just one leaf at a time without the table top becoming uneven and unusable. Additionally, the table I received doesn't sit flush even when both leaves are extended, which is quite disappointing.

Excellent, real wood, well made; easy assembly

It is perfect for the space I have; and it is real wood, not a plasticized look alike. The finish is excellent, I have found no flaws. My only reservation is that when using it with only one leaf extended, it is slightly slanted, due to the fact that the other leaf remains under the table top. But, I highly recommend it. I'm using it as a work table, not a dining table, and it is just about perfect!
