29888 bread maker

I used to have an old Dak....this one is SOOOOOO much better! Love the window/ the settings choices/ the holder for nuts/ raisins etc ( used to just dumpnit all in at once onvthe Dak!)/ seems to be much more precise and ALSO love to be able to make as small as a 1lb loaf since bread is really only great day...and MAYBE day 2!!

Great bread machine

I love this machine...I haven't figured out the dial yet. But I am up in years so give some time. So far I have made cinnamon raisin bread for family and friends. Today I am making myself a loaf of French bread. I cannot for the life of me quite figure out how to change the loaf color.

Good Bread Maker

Only 4 stars because the dial for + and - rubs on the casing and sometimes does not register a change when turned. Works good on the second turn of the dial. Also the instructions are not clear on how to lock and unlock the pan.

The bread pan was very thin and when baking w/medium crust it burned on the bottom. So, I returned the bread maker

The pot is NOT dishwasher safe

I purchased the Hamilton Beach bread maker because the description says it is dishwasher safe. Well, it is not. The inside of the pot is good, but outside surface came out discolored and spotted in black residue from the base part that covers the screw. I held the pot by the base and my hands turned black. This color, or rather metal dust was not easy to wash off completely. I am highly disappointed because now I will have to wash it by hand. I previously had Cuisinart bread maker and even though the recommendation was hand wash, I occasionally washed it in the dish washer and nothing ever happened with the metal or color.
