Sadly not for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Feels like heavy lumps on your eyes. I tried to even out whatever is inside. Not really comfortable. I really wanted to like this.

Sensory Deprivation Device FTW!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wrote an earlier review about the magic wonders of my Gravity Blanket. Well, let me tell you now about the mask. No, not THAT type of mask. I recoil in horror at the site of people wearing face masks and I still refuse to wear one, which means I spend A LOT of time at home, not breathing on people because..well...you know. Anyway, being stuck in my house for over 13 months, and being shamed into covering my face in public for "the greater good" has caused my anxiety and depression to spiral out of control. I stopped eating, I stopped sleeping. Basically, I'm a mess. I decided to take matters into my own hands to try and address my deteriorating physical and emotional state, since society now dictates that my otherwise healthy existence is not essential, nor is my access to normal health and wellness services. But DIY is my thing, so I decided to create a relaxation space in my house where I could go try and Calm Down when things get to be too much. I use this mask for a bit of sensory deprivation, along with the companion blanket. I turn on my meditation app, plug in my headphones, wrap this bad boy around my face and breathe deeply (ironic, isn't it, that deep breathing is supposed to calm us down yet whenever we leave our houses we are supposed to strap a piece of cloth to our face and take short shallow breaths as to avoid sucking down bits of fabric debris into our lungs). This is a lovely product - just the other day, I lay down with the mask and blanket and stayed there for a good 75 minutes meditating...or maybe I fell asleep. I don't know, but it was nice.

Poor Contouring!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear a sleep mask every night. When I found this weighted one I thought it would be even better. I was right but it is not contoured enough for your nose. When I put it on it felt great but the weight closes your nostrils making it difficult to breathe. I tried sliding it up further on my face only to wake up gasping for air. I really like the concept but it needs more design work.
