Weatherproof Spray
Product Details
Web ID: 1112226Great for black boots
I sounds like this product is getting bad reviews because it darkens light leather, but it worked great for my black boots. My boots were designed to look a little worn so it did make them look a little cleaner, but I really like how they look now. And it's definitely doing its job of keeping them from getting water marks in the rain. FYI I applied the spray to a strong paper towel first and then rubbed it onto the leather.

Ruined by boots
Do NOT buy this spray. This has a very intense, fine spray - it's not a mist at all. I assumed that, since it was sold by Frye, it would be safe to use on my Frye boots. Not the case. It left a very blotchy finish on my boots and they turned an entirely different color; much more than they should have.
Treatment area test first!
This spray can leave an oily stain on certain shoes (leather, suede, canvas, etc.).
It does a nice job
It works well. It waterproofs my boots. I put it on all of my boots to keep them looking great!
Frye Westherproof Spray
This product accompanies Frye suede shoes. I purchased a wonderful pair of Frye athletic shoes . The Frye Waterproof spray works well on all suede and is a must to protect shoes in wet weather.
Wonderful Product
Using this product has assured the Frye boots which are beautiful, to be rain/snow proof. I have already worn them on a rainy day and they are dry as a bone. I also used the product on other boots as well.
Broken?
It won't spray so I couldn't use it. I'm not sure if the can lost its pressure or if it's just broken.

Ruined my boots
I just treated my cognac Melissa Button boots with the weatherproof spray I got yesterday. It squirted globs onto my boot and I couldn't get it to rub in evenly. Now they're speckled and blotchy and totally messed up. I'm super angry. I just read other reviews that said the same thing. I wish I had known this, I would have gotten the cream instead. How can you sell something that does not perform exceptionally well? I saved for months to be able to buy these boots, and now they may be permanently ruined.
