Love the boots but they're a half size too large (9. 5). Will begin the exchange process this week.

Classy Boot
Out of the box, they were snug around the middle, and I was concerned my wide feet might not fit these boots. But literally within five minutes of wearing them the warmth of my feet expanded the leather and they fit perfect. I think the softness and quality of the leather uppers on these is really what you're paying for. The soles are a little thin and I could see where after 6 to 12 months of weat you might have to resole the entire boot. That's my only criticism so far. The other part that is problematic is they are difficult to put on - considering the lace up aspect. I like the leather laces, but they do make it more difficult to loosen and tighten the boot. For this style of boot, these are a very good choice and good quality. I don't think you'll be disappointed by these boots regardless of the style you choose.

Don’t buy
The shoes delivered look nothing like what is pictured. The quality, color, materials, and fit are all well below the price

Getting closer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must like these boots, as I just bought my third pair. However, I’m buying this pair in hopes that they will live up to my first pair. The second pair, even though I bought the same size as before, always felt bigger and longer than my first. I bought a half size down, my normal size, and these feel better. They may still be slightly longer than my first pair. There seems to be a slight problem with consistency. Interestingly, the leather feels significantly different on each pair too. I’m hoping this pair will wear into the suppleness of my first pair (since they are 9 years old, it’s hard to remember how soft they were initially).

Not like they used to be
Frye boots were my go to for years, however, I’ve noticed recently the quality isn’t quite what they used to be. Leather and soles are much lesser quality wise and the ‘tan’ boots I ordered are a dark chocolate brown. I’m glad these were on a deep sale otherwise they would have been returned immediately.

Disappointed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They are beautiful but I thought they were for women so I must return. Wny don’t they make these exact ones for women- or smaller feet?

Where's the antiqued finish?
I'm a big fan of Frye boots and own around 7 or 8 pair, especially the Bowery line. Of late I find myself wearing the antiqued version Bowrey more than anything for that well weathered look and no fear of new scuffs. I bought those from a reseller and they came deliciously scuffed. I love the cut and fit of these Tyler boots, the leather laces and the wonderful smell right out of the box. It takes a bit longer to put these on and snug the laces since my Bowrey boots have that convenient side zipper for access. Why just 3 stars? Because the finish is nothing like their photos with almost zero antuquing and absolutely no wear. Basically I got a pair of black boots. FRYE, please don't advertise a look and then send something completely different. Im sure it takes some extra steps, pun intended, not unlike acid washed jeans. Months back I had to return several other boots for reasons related to finish or sizing. We are required to pay for return shipping, which I understand, but not if what they send is not what they advertise and picture. I did use a Labor Day code which I appreciated. But I was not allowed to also use my accumulated reward dollars. WHY? Didn't I earn those dollars? Anyway, I still love these boots. But it's not what I ordered or wanted. I'll supply my own wear over time, but don't order the antiqued model. If they're not willing to insert the extra wear procedure, then please change your advertising photos.

Not black
This boot was supposed to be black distressed and they’re not! I’d like to return them!
